Ricky was born in Howard County, MD, and graduated from River Hill High School in Clarksville. As an advanced athlete and AP scholar, he was recruited to play Division One soccer for the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Finance. Ricky was a member of the Student Finance Association, the Pre-Law Society, and served as an E-Board member of the Debate Council.

In the fall of 2017, he was recruited by RE/MAX Advantage Realty—an invite-only brokerage that has maintained an outstanding reputation for over twenty-five years. The firm currently operates out of seven offices and covers Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, DC, and Virginia.
