Salutations! My name is James Lozier. Many of my friends call me “Big Jim,” as I am 6 foot 9. I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from Brownell-Talbot college preparatory school. I attended Colorado State University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology, but don’t hold that against me because my wife was born and raised in Cheyenne and is a University of Wyoming graduate. I met my wife in Arizona and we were blessed to be able to raise two beautiful daughters. We retired from law enforcement, in the Phoenix Metro Area, after 27 years. After retiring, my wife and I decided to move to Cheyenne to be close to family. Since moving here, I have had the great fortune to be able to assist with the training of bird dogs at the Hongo Kennels. I enjoy pistol and shotgun shooting, bicycling, hiking and fishing or anything outdoors with my wife and our dogs. I am a driven person that thrives on challenges and opportunities for growth.
